VOLKSWAGEN DOUBLE IN AUSTRALIA�S BEST CAR AWARDS

Wednesday 5th December, Sydney - Volkswagen has won two awards at the prestigious ‘Australia's Best Car Awards' for 2007. The details of the awards are as follows.

  1. Best Small Car: Volkswagen Polo TDI

  2. Best Sports Car: Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG

The extent of this achievement cannot be ignored as there were only twelve categories in total ranging from Small Cars to Luxury SUVs. In addition to this, the award for the Polo is even more noteworthy as it has won its respective category for the last two years, which adds to the significance.

The Golf R32 edged out the Golf GTI for first place honours this year giving Volkswagen back to back victories in the Best Sports car category.

‘Australia's Best Car Awards' are in their eighth year as a co-operation between the seven State and Territory based car clubs of Australia. These car clubs as a combined voice, speak to approximately seven million Australian motorists hence magnifying the importance of these awards.
